On April 2, Iranian authorities arrested a number of women’s rights activists as they were collecting signatures for the “One Million Signatures Demanding Changes to Discriminatory Laws” (http://we-change.org/).
After some of the activists were released on high bail, two others, Nahid Keshavarz and Mahboubeh Hosseinzadeh, were transferred to Evin Prison.
This is the second time that the two have been in Evin; the first time was after their arrest during February 2007 for similar activity.
